PERÚ.- Desde las 19:00 horas, Warner Channel empezó a transmitir el Emmy 2016, uno de los mayores premios de la televisión en Estados Unidos. Jimmy Kimmel, el presentador, se introdujo a sí mismo en una secuencia de la serie "American Crime: The People v. O.J. Simpson", tras lo cual realizó un 'carpool karaoke' con su colega James corden. Minutos después empezó el evento oficial.

En su primera hora, el Emmy 2016 confirmó que Julia Louis-Dreyfus mantiene el título de Mejor Actriz Principal de Serie Cómica, esto gracias a su rol como Selina Meyer en "Veep" de HBO. Ella recibió el premio entre lágrimas y agradeciendo a su padre, quien falleció hace unos días.

Por su parte, Netflix se llevó su primer galardón de la noche por la serie "Master of None", protagonizada por Aziz Ansari ("Parks and Recreation").
