LONDRES, Inglaterra.- "Boyhood", la historia de una familia a través de la mirada de un niño y rodada en 12 años con los mismos protagonistas, ganó el domingo el Bafta a la mejor película, el galardón del cine británico.

La película de Richard Linklater, que se hizo con el Bafta al mejor director en la gala celebrada en la Royal Opera House de Londres, se perfila así como la gran favorita en los Oscar tras haber ganado también el Globo de Oro.

En cambio, "Birdman", del mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, que llegaba a los Bafta con 10 candidaturas, no logró ninguno de los premios grandes salvo el de mejor fotografía, que fue para el mexicano Emmanuel Lubezki.

La estadounidense Julianne Moore se llevó el Bafta a la mejor actriz principal por "Siempre Alice", como pasó con el Globo de Oro, y está más cerca que nunca del Oscar en su quinta candidatura a este prestigioso premio, publica Milenio con información de AFP.

Otro tanto ocurre con Eddie Redmayne, el actor británico de 33 años que logró el Bafta por su interpretación del astrofísico británico Stephen Hawking, tras haber logrado el Globo de Oro.

"Los actores británicos son los mejores del mundo", había dicho premonitoriamente en la alfombra roja el estadounidense Ethan Hawke, protagonista de "Boyhood".

Hawking precisamente fue uno de los protagonistas de la gala, al entregar el premio a los mejores efectos especiales.
